Low-phosphorus nickel plating (NiP 2-4%)

The MAIN CHARACTERISTICS of low-phosphorus nickel plating are the following:

• Uniformity.
• Rugosity: Does not vary in low and medium thicknesses.
• Appearance: Very bright.
• Weldability: Very good.
• Hardness:

  – Just plated: 670-750 Hv.
  – With hardness treatment: 950 Hv.

• Anti-corrosion level: Low-Medium.

  Neutral Salt Spray (ASTM B-117) (depending on the material and layer thickness) < 48 hours.

• Wear resistance: Excellent.
• Slightly Magnetic.
